Yosemite National Park Heritage Site
Yosemite National Park is located in the western slopes of Sierra Nevada, in State of California, USA. Yosemite National Park is one the world’s most popular national park.

Yosemite National Park spreads over 761,266 acres large. And as a designated national park, Yosemite is largely recognized for it’s granite cliffs, waterfalls, the streams, and the various biological terms. Granitic rocks is the one which characterizes this site.
Yosemite National Park is made as World Heritage Site in 1984. The various kinds of biological diversity in this site can be seen from some of the popular features in Yosemite National Park. Some among them are granitic dome like
- Half Dome and El Capitan ;
- Carved deep river like Tuolumne and merced river (900-1200 meters deep);
- waterfalls (Bridalveil Fall, Ribbon Falls), etc.
Yosemite National Park so far has contributes to more than 10% of 7000 plan species in California. Not only that, Yosemite National Park has been a secure conservation of some habitats, like american black bear, mule deer, marmot, etc.


Yosemite National Park has been managed as outdoor spots too. Visitors can choose some outdoor activities like hiking, biking (usually in spring to fall), rafting in Merced River of Yosemite Valley, Climbing the El-Capitan, and winter activities like skiing.
